Pure bone osteolytic lesions


1-Metastases:

-Presence of history of primary.

-Adult above 40 years.

-Destructive multiple lesions.

-Soft tissue components.

2-Chordoma:

-Midline structure.

-Destructive multiple lesions.

-Soft tissue components.

-D.D.from metastases:
T2 image, the lesion is of intense hyper intensity such as CSF.

3-Myeloma:

-If it is single lesion, it is known as plasmacytoma.

-Destructive multiple lesions.

-Soft tissue components.

-Usually seen as multiple, nearly same sized lesions.

-In such a case, the bone scan appears normal.
