Disc lesions

We have three types which are

-Disc bulge:Results from bulge of the disc with intact annulus, appears as diffuse bulge covering the circumstances of the posterior edge of the body of the vertebra, this bulge could be noted also at the anterior edge.

-Disc protrusion: Also is with intact annulus but give focal protrusion.

-Disc herniation: Caused by torn annulus and giving focal herniation.

This latter type could proceed to sequestration.
