Cerebellar and Cerebral Deposits

Diagnosed by
-Presence of a primary lesion.
-Multiplicity.
-It is common to be seen supra tentorially, but it could be seen infra tentorially.
-Causes of brain metastases:
M=Melanoma.
R=Renal cell carcinoma.                    MR  CT BB
C=Choriocarcinoma.
T=Thyroid cancer.
B=Breast.
B=Bronchogenic carcinoma.

-Metastases in the posterior fossa does not show surrounding edema due to tight space and also due to treatment.
-It could be hemorrhagic.
