Ependymoma

This axial T2W MR image shows a mixed solid-cystic mass arising from the fourth ventricle and causing mass effect on the brainstem. There is resultant obstructive hydrocephalus, seen on contrast-enhanced T1W sagittal. The mass appears to ‘ooze’ out of the Foramen of Magendie on the axial scan. There was no associated spinal lesion.
