Imaging of posterior fossa

1-The posterior fossa imaging is discussed by anatomy and not by the effect of contrast enhancement as that done with supra tentorial tumors. 

 2-In the posterior fossa there are four anatomical sites where the lesions arise, this include the following sites arranged from anterior to posterior:

 -Brain stem.

 -Fourth ventricle.

 -Cerebello-pontine angle. 

-Cerebellum.

 3-So when you are facing a lesion in the posterior fossa, you must try to answer one question, which is from which area of these four areas the lesion is arising.
