Spinal epidermoid

Spinal epidermoid appears in T1 as a fluid content mass with low intensity signal while in T2 image it shows water signal.



If we look to the image above, we see a mass causing compression of the cord with widening of the CSF column near to it, picture suggestive that this mass is present in the intra dural space.
This mass also shows hyper intensity in this T2 image which could be cyst or a solid mass, differentiation could be made easly by giving contrast injection, if no enhancement, this means that the lesion is a cyst, if there is enhancement, this will suggest a solid mass.
