Spinal Infection




-Look in the coronal view, there is evidence of para-spinal mass seen on both sides of the spines.

-Now, you must search if there is bone destruction or not, where the answer, yes there is bone destruction.

-Then, look if there is disc lesion or not, yes there is disc lesion.

-So we have a soft tissue mass causing bone destruction and affection of the disc, this mass when enhanced gives appearance of multi loculated cavities with ring enhancement, picture suggestive of spinal infection.

-Causes of spinal infection are either T.B. or pyogenic.
